Ok, so I've started this blog because I wanted to share stories with friends and family! Jess will be the first to give me a bad time about it, but I figure instead of forwarding her blogs to everyone, I can tell my side of the story. Love you, Daughter! ;-)
Well, he's here! Jaxson Cash blessed our lives on April 30th, at 5:27 AM. Jess called me at 2:30 AM. Call it mothers intuition or something, but I had woken up and went the kitchen to get a glass of water, I returned to bed and the phone rang! I knew it had to be her. I threw on the sweats I had at the end of my bed and made the one and a half hour drive to Roseville. Thank goodness for adrenalin rushes, because that's what kept me awake for the drive. ;-)
I arrived at the hospital and Jess and Nick were in triage as the nurse checked Jess in. As a mom who had done this twice, along with the look on my daughter’s face, I knew it was not going to be very long before she delivered. At close to 5:00 AM, I left to pick up Masen, who was with Nick's mom at their place (who was sleeping like an angel, and got up in a cheery mood to see both his grandma's there… heart melting!) As I explained to Nick's mom, Jess was progressing at a fast pace. I told her that we'd be lucky if we made it back in time. Well, what do you know, moms are right at times! We went to go in Jess' room and we were shoved back into the hall by the nurse! "NO, you can't come in now, she's pushing!"
As Lily and I went back to the waiting room and waited about 20 minutes, we paced the floor and played with Masen. But we both knew he arrived! As we walked back down the hall we heard the cries of Jaxson!

As you can see Masen loves his new little brother!

Just look what we got! He's an absolute angel! (ok so I' a little bias!)
